With the semester wrapping up, it’s finally time to reveal who the real Dr. Love is. For two and a half years, I’ve given my expert advice to the romantic souls of Grove City College’s campus.
I stumbled into this role halfway through my sophomore year by chance, not knowing what to expect. Looking back, my first few articles were a little stiff and cautious (please don’t look back for them). As time passed, you can more clearly hear my voice in recent editions of the newspaper. Over 40+ articles have been written by me and archived by The Collegian for generations to come.
Thank you to everyone who has read my column over the last few years. I loved seeing random people reading The Collegian in SAC or in HAL and noticing the page open to Dr. Love’s impeccable advice. There were even times I got to overhear what people truly thought of my advice, which was awesome.
I’d like to extend another huge thank you to the people who sent submissions in. I hope I answered all of your questions and solved your particular dilemma.
If you’ve figured out who I am by the end of this article and my time at the college, congratulations! You’re a regular detective. I dropped a few hints along the way, but perhaps not enough for you all to uncover my true identity.
Without further ado, here goes nothing!
Hi! I’m Mara Brak, a senior graduating with a B.S. in Design & Innovation and a PhD in love. I’ve enjoyed being Dr. Love so much! I’m going to miss solving love’s problems after graduation.
