Thank you for reading The Collegian. This year has had so many ups and downs, but we think that we are on an upward trajectory to end the year. With Grove City College’s 150th anniversary celebrations long underway, it is hard not to celebrate and believe that now is a great time to be a Grover.
We at The Collegian also believe we are ending the year at our best, and we are excited to help lead The Collegian into a new year..

If you are like me, the end of the school year brings change, and change is often bittersweet. I will miss our graduating friends, including our senior editorial staff: Emily, Kathryna, Mia, John and Tava.
But I am also eager to be the next editor-in-chief of The Collegian. I have aspired to this role since I decided to enroll at Grove City exactly two years ago. As a three-year sports intern with Pittsburgh’s Tribune-Review, I am looking forward to using the skills I have learned in the news industry to help propel The Collegian into a new era.
I cannot thank you enough for your support of the newspaper, and as we enter the new year this fall, The Collegian will look different, with its names and faces within changed, but our commitment to you will only improve.

Incoming Editor-in-Chief
It was not that long ago that I was just a freshman on the sidelines of Don Lyle Field. I was taking pictures of the women’s lacrosse game when a fellow photographer told me that I should reach out to Grace David, my predecessor as photo chief, about taking photos for The Collegian. Next thing I knew, I was its next photo chief. I was thrown into this role with not the slightest clue about newspapers or journalistic photography.
After we published our first couple of issues, I started to get the hang of it and enjoyed the role of photo chief. However, I always said it would end there. I never saw myself doing anything more than taking pictures, because after all, I am not the fondest of writing. Well, fast forward to today, and I am getting ready to step into the role of managing editor. I did not see this coming, nor did I ever think I wanted this role, but I could not be more excited to see what this next challenge has to offer.
