As the news that both towers of the World Trade Centers had fallen, the Pentagon had been attacked and Flight 93 crashed into a field not too far from Grove City College spread, the campus responded with grief, prayer and, in the case of The Collegian, journalism. The student staff shifted from regular news coverage to chronicling history unfolding in the wake of an event that would impact Americans and the world for years to come.

From student testimonials to photos that caught the shock to a presidential response, writers from every section gathered a story that was still unfolding to memorialize the day. On today’s anniversary, we remember their work and, in these pages, add to that record.
